the average time for payment of invoices was
maintained at 5 days from receipt.
As a major player present throughout Morocco,
the Attijariwafa bank group encourages local
purchasing wherever possible. This approach
is in line with our desire to reduce procurement
costs while helping to boost the regional
economy.
In 2024, the majority of Attijariwafa bank's
suppliers are of Moroccan origin, with 86% of
them coming from the country, while regional
suppliers also account for a signif icant share,
representing 87% of the total panel of active
suppliers.
Furthermore in line with the Groups strategy
to promote the f inancial inclusion of Very Small
Small and Mediumsized Enterprises VSMMEs
the responsible and sustainable purchasing
approach aims to encourage purchases from this
category of companies
By 2024 SMEs will account for 76 of
Attijariwafa banks total panel of suppliers of
which 30 will be VSEs
Attijariwafa bank adopts preventive measures
to avoid supplier dependency by limiting the
cumulative amounts of services provided by
each supplier to 35% of their total annual sales.
As part of this policy, suppliers are required to
provide information including their f inancial
statements to Group buyers have been made
aware of the importance of achieving an
appropriate balance between suppliers and
purchasing volume in their purchasing strategy
by family, in order to comply with this limit. In
the event of proven dependence, the Group
provides support to f ind alternative solutions.
