In 2024, the Attijariwafa bank group initiated
a major shift in its sustainability strategy,
transitioning from a traditional CSR approach
to a comprehensive ESG approach aligned
with the highest international standards. This
transformation is part of the Group’s strategic
plan, @mbitions 2025, and ref lects the long-term
vision of its reference shareholder, Al Mada.
As part of this evolution, the Group has updated its
2030 roadmap with a clear objective: to position
sustainability as a strategic lever for resilience,
performance, and shared value creation. This
roadmap is structured around the three ESG
pillars—environmental, social, and governance—
which are now fully embedded across all activities,
decision-making processes, and commitments,
both at the institutional and operational levels.
The adoption of an ESG-driven approach marks a
structural transformation of the Group’s business
model, where sustainability considerations are
no longer peripheral but central. It responds to
the growing expectations of regulators, investors,
customers, and employees, while reinforcing
the Group’s capacity to generate long-term,
sustainable value.
This transformation is based on a robust ESG
architecture deployed through
dedicated governance embodied by an ESG
committee attached to the Board of Directors
ensuring strategic alignment and supervision of
actions deployed in the various countries where
the company operates
a unif ied management system including a
double materiality analysis of ESG performance
indicators aligned with international standards
GHG Protocol PCAF SDGs ISO 37001 etc

Development Goals SDGs with a focus on key
issues for the African continent such as f inancial

The ESG roadmap is also supported by an ambitious
internal transformation program that mobilizes all
employees through awarenessraising programs
mandatory training a network of ESG advisors
and the gradual integration of ESG objectives into
manager performance reviews
